It seems crazy to already be saying this, but did you know there are fewer than 50 days until Christmas Day? While most of us have spent the latter part of this year catching up on plans that were cancelled in the former part of the year, it has left many of us feeling underprepared for Christmas.
Although Christmas this year is set to look more normal than the last, we’ve still had significantly less face to face time with our clients and teams in 2021 than usual. As many are opting to keep their Christmas parties virtual this year, now’s a great time to show your clients how important they’ve been to you, this year more than ever. And while we encourage you to think about and do this year-round, Christmas is a particularly perfect moment for gifting.
A gift should be personal, thoughtful and appropriate. We don’t recommend ordering fifty of the same item and sending them to everyone. Sending a gift that’s irrelevant to your team or clients is a very quick way to make them feel like you don’t really listen or know them. If you know that Jim Smith is diabetic, probably best not send him personalised biscuits. And if Mary Jones doesn’t drink, she won’t appreciate a nice bottle of wine.
